One of my favorite restaurants in the city! Warm, inviting, and unassuming—the food is incredible and the wine menu is extensive.
We came here because of the rave reviews online and I always like to research restaurants that are allergy friendly for my wife. To say that I was disappointed is an understatement. Not only did the wait staff seem uninterested in our table, but they were also genuinely not able to accomplish the simple decency of getting back to my wife about a food allergy that she asked about at the beginning of the meal. My favorite burger that I’ve ever had in the city. I could not believe how incredible this place was. Got a pretty cheap bottle considering the quality and it was perfect. Everything else on the menu looked amazing and I can’t wait to come back and try the rest. Our server was not around very much but it seemed like he had the entire restaurant to himself so he did great all things considered.

Rootstock is kind of place you gate keep, but I will not be like the Reddit hive mind of mouth breathers. Go here with friends and family, and enjoy some of the best food in the city. Spread the word! You can expect a slight wait especially at prime time but it’s well worth it.
