I would definitely recommend Roots. The unique dishes are refreshing for a town like Jonesboro, and if you don’t want to try something new, they have a large burger menu. The drinks are delicious and well made, with adorable glassware.
The food quality is not as good since the original owners/chefs left. The atmosphere is still lovely and our waitress was excellent, but the food was not good. The pork schnitzel had zero flavor, the grits were soured, the gravy was over salted, and the apple onion jam was boring.
In my top ten favorite restaurants of all time! What a fantastic place for a date or anniversary or anything. Everything was perfect. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff. Street parking only.
It's a little loud sometimes especially when fully packed, but it still feels cozy and at home. Jordan made me a gin fizz, so I'm leaving a five star review.
