I tried Roots recently and ordered the Pesto Caesar Salad for $14, and honestly, it was really disappointing. For the price, I expected something fresh, flavorful, and satisfying, but instead I got a bowl that felt skimped on everything. There was barely any dressing, the toppings were minimal, and the whole dish tasted mediocre at best. For anyone who is vegetarian, vegan, gluten-intolerant, or anyone who wants to eat healthier, this is THE place on OSU campus to go! I always get the build-your-own bowl option with avocado added. If you like Chipotle or Sweetgreen, then you'll love this place as this fast-casual restaurant is like a combination of both restaurants. Children ages 12 and younger are able to eat here free with the purchase of an adult entree. You won't be disappointed with your meal.
Roots would typically have 5 stars from me. But, had to do 4 because whyyyyyyyyyy did you switch to small bowls for salads. Please go back. Sad girls out here. :(
