I have mixed feelings about Roots. They were plenty of amazing staff and clients who made my days so much better, but there were also some people there who gave me absolute hell. I was there for self harm but I didn’t feel like I was getting the right treatment, as most of the program focuses on substance abuse. I’ve never done any kind of substance in my life and I felt very out of place when people brought it up.
