Was excited to try vegan options at the rooster this morning. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with vegan sausage, and my husband ordered the vegan slinger. Our food took quite awhile to come out, and when it did we were very disappointed. All of the food was room temp at best, potatoes were very overcooked and the vegan gravy had a very sour, almost mushroom taste to it. The food was delicious!
The other location is much better. The service was slow & it wasn’t even busy. My potatoes and eggs were cold- biscuits were hard. Waiter was nice, so the issues seemed to be with the kitchen. Maybe shortstaffed?
