This all started we began using the fireplace and soot, along with creosote, scorched the outside of our stone fireplace. After many phone calls that I, along with my husband, have made (they returned one call), the issue was not fixed. They did an extremely costly repair (they patched one place in the fireplace, added dry wall, and coat of mud for $1500.00) on a house we recently purchased.
