I hate car repair places. I don’t trust mechanics. It is so easy for them to fool people, rip customers off etc. HOWEVER this place is awesome! I had three different issues with my car and they called me after each issue to explain things along with options and costs. Their parking lot is packed and out of control because they have so many customers which is a great problem to have! WAS a good place, once, went TO HELL for some unknown reason. I PAID for a simple estimate on brake repairs. I was told the rears "had a a little bit left" on the linings , shoes absolutely needed to be replaced, and the brake cylinders were leaking, needed replacement too. I declinEd repairs (MORE ON THAT FIASCO BELOW), my brother (a GM engineer) and I did the work ourselves AND THERE WAS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE REAR BRAKES!!!! I was in town to help my mother transition from rehab to home after a stroke. Upon leaving her rehab facility, the parking lot was beginning to flood due to the rain - while driving through the water, the shield over the undercarriage was pulled off and dragging under the car. We ended up in the parking lot across from the old location on E Central in Msbg. Been using Ron’s for a while now 6yrs on/off for jobs that I can’t tackle myself. They were great when I start using them but over the years the prices of labor has creeped up and added hidden charges like higher shop supplies now and hidden $7 credit card charge when there is no posted sign about being charge this amount until after the fact.
