Ron's Barn Barbecue & Seafood: Good seafood Ron's Barn Barbecue & Seafood has really good seafood (as long as you like it fried, which I do). I wasn't impressed with their barbecue, but the seafood made up for it. Their hush puppies are excellent.

Homestyle Buffet Homestyle Fried Chicken & BBQ with all the typical side items. It's an all you can eat buffet but they fix your plate. You go back thru the line and tell them what you want on the plate. The downside is at the holidays you need to book well in advance and make it clear how many are going to be in your party. We had a party there one year and they didn't seem to have enough food ready for our crowd. The next year they had plenty of food ready and it ran smoother. Food is good. Tea is great. Like eating at Mama's! This is some of the best home cooking you will get for miles around! Or at least without actually going to Mama's. I absolutely LOVE their fried chicken and almost every fixin' that comes with it. The barbecue is good, not the best I've had, but you want regret filling up on all this country cooking: okra, chicken pastry, green beans, apples, applesauce, mac-n-cheese. It's worth the drive down to Coats from Raleigh to check out this incredibly reasonably priced buffet!
