Most unprofessional group I have ever worked with. The exceptions are the Parts Manager Blaine,the Registration Clerk Liz & the lead tech Dale. It seems if they don t like a customer or a deal they make they will go out of their way to cause them inconvenience if they have any problems. However if they like someone they will falsify warranties if necessary to help them. The owner Alex May is more interested in talking nasty to the female employees than anything to do with the business.
Their service department sucks. Bought a brand new boat from them, about the third time out the fuel water seperator was full of water and the engine quit. The fuel system was obviously leaking water. I took it back to get it fixed and the tried to charge me three hours labor to fix it. Come to find out they didnt even look at it. They couldnt even tell me where the fuel cap was. I have had to get all technical help through the boat builder. I want to second POs comments in that Ronnies Marine is a business that you want to avoid at all costs. I bought a consignment boat from them where they had a personal relationship with the seller. The boat was grossly misrepresented and when I got the boat home some seven hours away - many items that they had checked off as checked or verified were in fact not working at all. My husband and I are ready to purchase a boat and were referred to Ronnies in Aransas Pass. Not able to get to AP location before 12 on Saturday, we called Corpus location to inquire about their hours. The fellow that answered the phone was so rude that the salesman wont get a chance with us. We are going elsewhere.
I stopped in Ronnies several times interested in buying a new boat. Even when youre interested in buying they dont call you back or even answer emails. There are worse places however like OffShore Marina where your gas tank comes up empty and things disappear off your boat.
