Wow. Please, if you want to go to a professional dentist with solid ethics, do not go here. Like several other reviewers have said, not only is the dentist and her staff’s attitude and communication poor and unprofessional, but the actual dental work is questionable. Once they even began numbing me on the wrong side for the work to be done until I told them it was not the right side of my mouth! Avoid. During routine dental exams, Dr O'Connor seemed very confident and adept with her instruments. But when I actually had to have work done, it was traumatic. My mouth is small and I was holding it open as wide as possible and she kept saying "Open wide!" Dr O'Connor lost patience and started really yanking, pulling and cranking on my teeth. Nothing remarkable about my experience until they applied a $400 “failed appointment” fee for a cleaning I cancelled the day before because my childcare fell through. We don’t live with family nearby, not sure if they think my options of leaving my 10 month old home alone vs bring him to my cleaning vs pay $400 are reasonable. I was so excited to go to a fully female-owned and operated dentist. I had gone to the same dentist in SF for over 15 years (also female-owned and operated) and never had any issues. We moved to Marin, and I missed 2 dentist appointments (1 year's worth), being pregnant/a new mom, my priorities shifted. O’Connor Dental is AMAZING! The office is super family-friendly, the team is warm, welcoming, and always makes me feel completely heard. They go above and beyond every single visit, and I genuinely wouldn’t trust my smile with anyone else. Highly recommend this office!
