The food was below average. The restaurant is in a very bad area, prostitutes and drug addicts walking by in front of the entrance. After meeting the owner Joe, he seems to be the kind of man that fits right in such a sleazy area and restaurant. He is not a nice man, nor is it a good restaurant.
Italian food Rochester's is simply the BEST there is! Delicious food and nice atmosphere at very reasonable prices. It just doesn't get any better. Love your clam chowder on Fridays.
Italian restaurants Rochester have the best traditional Italian-American food. They don't mess around. I highly recommend the eggplant Parmesan. Very delicious! Great atmosphere and their staff is super nice!
Great Neighborhood Italian Restaurant Near the Kodak HQ, Rocone's is an amazing neighborhood hangout. I was in town for business and all my colleagues could talk about was going to Rocone's again - I'm so glad I listened to them and went with! The portions were very generous (huge, in fact), the food was great - I loved their crusty breads and plump, juicy calamari, and the atmosphere is great, too. It's a little off the beaten path, but is well worth the trip.

It is such a gem on Lyell Ave. great food, great prices. At first I wasn't crasy about street parking, but it's not bad. I've been there 3 times since they've reopened and I never had a problem.
Little Italy Comes To Rochester I heard about the new ownership and wanted to try it out. What an improvement. The place looked like new. And the food is as good as ever. I loved the peppers as an appetizer. For the main course, I had the tripe. This was the best that one could find outside of Little Italy in New York City.
Best Value in Italian Restaurants in Rochester I had a meeting at Kodak and we were looking for a place to have lunch that would be fast, tasty and won't break our budget. Somebody suggested Roncone's - it is about half a mile away... I think this is one of the Rochester's best kept secrets. Awesome food, people and VALUE! Strongly recommend it.
Great Italian food Great Italian food and nice atmosphere. Everything that I have tried is good. I love the sauce and fresh crusty bread. It has a cozy feel and good service.
