Doctor canceled the appointment within 3 hours of scheduled visit. Called the office and the next available appointment is after two months. This is extremely unprofessional. I am truly disappointed and upset since I had to take a sick day from my work for the doctor. If patients were requested to pay $50 for cancellation within 24 hours, who’s gonna pay for a doctor cancelling it on the patient? There is NO RESPECT in patients’ time at all.

As a gyn he was cool but when I came to him w my first baby he just didn’t care. It took two months for him to see me which at that point I was 12 weeks. When I arrived the nurses didn’t know what I was there for. After telling them I am there for my first sonogram the doctor finally came in. He took all of two mins and gave me a referral for gene testing. Didn’t explain much of anything of what to except only asked me if I was on medication. As a new mother and a recent patient of doctor Ronald J. Berka, I can attest that doctor Berka was there for me when I needed him. I gave birth to a 9Lbs baby boy recently at forest-hills hospital. Soon after the baby was delivered , I began to hemorrhage from an un contracted uterus and lost a lot of blood in the process. Due to the quick thinking and decisive action of Dr.Berka my life was saved on that day. I highly recommend Dr. Berka If you are in need of an ob/gyn in the near future. Dr. Berka has been the best Doctor I ever had! I started to see him on my second pregnancy, I was hesitant at the beginning cause it was my 1st time with a male OB but omg I would never leave this doctor. He was so nice always available and best thing is that he listened to all I wanted, when I was giving birth I remember when I saw him i almost cry (happy tears) it gave me so much peace to see him He said that tests (ultrasound) suggested to have a c-section the baby was too big but I told him to let me try normal delivery ... read more
