In 1973 an 18-year-old Ron Lopez started practicing the art of tattooing in Staten Island, slowly building a reputation that he turned into a family legacy. After his opening of Ron's Tattooing in Elizabeth, New Jersey during New York's tattoo ban, Ron and his sons finally came back home and established Ron and Dave's Tattooing.
