My father went in yesterday for stroke symptoms and having temporarily lost mobility. Was admitted overnight for observation. After being admitted and while being evaluated by physical therapy and having another episode with stroke like symptoms. Tests were done ekg, ct scan, mri. He was released today without ever seeing a dr once after being admitted from the er. Terrible! Went to the hospital because it was in-network to have the provider be out of network. On top of the bedside manor being the worst I've come across. Not only that, I did not see them disinfect areas between patients. To top it off staff was slow, on their phones. Didn't seem much like an ER. The setup for Rome hospital is a complete joke compared to other hospitals.
Just left the Rome ER & wanted to thank them for the very prompt, compassionate & comprehensive treatment from everyone we encountered beginning with the ER reception to the discharge nurse. The techs, the nurses & the PA that I saw in between were all caring & considerate. The reason that I only gave a 4 star rating instead of 5 stars is because the hospital administration needs to institute a program to improve cleanliness & maintenance of the building. Obscured the cost of my visit repeatedly and sent me multiple different bills over the course of 6 months, only the final one having the actual cost of my stay.
