Garbage Found In Food – Monday, August 6th, I took my elderly mother and my daughter out to dinner to the Macaroni Grill in Elk Grove, CA. We all three ordered the same meal (Shrimp Portofino). I found an old cigarette butt, leaves, dirt and garbage in all three of our meals. I have launched a complaint with the County Health Dept and have also contacted and reported this to Macaroni Grill's corporate office. Italian Food at its best I cannot stop ravng about this awesome place. Being from india, I did not really get to know a lot of italian food until I found this gem. Romanos Macaroni Grill introduced me to the best Italian food. I ordered the chicken alfarado and its was sooooooooooo yummy. The cheese just melted in my mouth. The sauce was perfect and the smoky chicken could not be more tender and juicy.
Great food Large portions, Yummy sauces. We love this place. If you are watching your calories, it is probably not the best place to go to, but they really have some mouth watering entr'ees.
Service is horrible! – Like most of the reviewers here, My b/f and I had a gift card and I had a pleasurable experience coming to this restaurant in another state. So we thought, what the hell. We had a show to go to at 10pm so we thought having a reservation at 8pm would suffice. Boy, were we wrong! We get there at about 15 minutes before the reservation and waited for about 30 minutes. all i miss is the pork chop – all of the food are just too salty. we had a group of 12 persons. believe it or not, all the food are just too salty (pasta, salmon.....). But i found this place is quite interesting. I did not have the bad service experience like the other reviews. But i definately will try to eat the pork chop again to confirm it is from the cook or it's just me. by the way, the whole place is kind of dark. take some times for us to adjust to the eyes and read the menu. i guess it's supposed to be romantic... ... read more
