Don't know what happened! – We used to love Macaroni Grill! It was a place we knew we could go and have a hearty italian meal, but then they started changing the menu every other month it seemed and wow...the past THREE times we've gone the food quality has noticibly declined. I even ordered different menu items and still no good. Today, which is the last time I think I'll part with money for a meal at MG, I ordered the Chicken Scallopini...the artichokes were visibly old and very dry, the chicken was over cooked and stringy... read more

Used to be great – Before they became apart of the chain they used to be great, but then they got bought out and slowly they went downhill. They got rid of all of my favorites (spinach art dip, crab cakes, this chicken breast dish with broccoli and angel hair and a create your own I used to do with sun dried tomotaoes, artichokes, garlic cloves [sauteed with the perfect little burnt side that brought out all of it's garlicy goodness], chicken, linguine and olive oil sauce) and their pasta became medicore. Terrible Service – I hosted a table for 12 for a friend's birthday. The service was slow. The waiter didn't offer us fresh ground parmesan or pepper. The salad was limp. When the food finally came, it wasn't hot. We ordered coffee afterward and again, it was a long time coming and it was barely warm. The waiter seemed completely flustered and I felt sorry for him. I will not host another event at Macaroni Grill.

Poor service - No employee accountability – We used to love coming here, but after our experience last night, we will probably not go back. Not enough staff, food too salty and peppery, no one asked how our food was after it was brought to our table. We couldn't even get them to bring us more water!!

Drop in quality – The quality of the food at this restaurant has dropped dramatically over the past year. My food had no suace which I found out later I was supposed to ask the waiter fort. My salad came in a little bowl hardly big enough to feed anyone. The house wine is now $5.50 a glass which is, in my opinion, very expensive. I have always liked this restaurant in the past but last night will be my last time to visit until things improve. We went to Romano's Mac Grill last Sat.night. 10/29/11 – It was really busy and there were several Birthday dinners. The Italian dinners were excellent. There were 4 of us and we all thought the service was great too. The waitress was very pleasant and never rushed us. It was 2 of our parties Birthdays and they were served 2 luscious desserts without charge and 2 people with excellent voices sang Happy Birthday in Italian for them. Poor first experience – We were sitting at a table where the waitress ran into my chair three times in a row and walked away without apologizing while delivering food to the next table. Near our table was a large spill that the waiters and waitresses kept walking over instead of cleaning. The food was average and definitely overpriced. This was our first time coming here but do not plan on returning.

Totally disappointing. – We were with a group of 8, ready to eat, drink and have a fun night. I don't know if this was the first group of 8 our waiter ever had or if he just didn't care. Four of us ordered drinks while waiting for the others. 15 minutes later, one of us had a drink, the other 3 were still waiting. Bread was tossed down on the table and our waiter disappeared. Best Chicken Scallopinin Ever! – I dare you to tell me this isn't the best Chicken Scallopini you have ever tasted. Simply outstanding. Service was wonderful too.
