Our waitress was nice.. and the meatballs were very good... I personally wasn't a huge fan of the seating arrangement, intimate a understatement. But the reason for a 1* is the ridiculous amount of salt and inconsistent texture for a $30 serving of pasta. I have enjoyed plenty of "salty" foods but every bite of my carbonara was like eating straight salt. The pasta almost crumbled in my mouth(not in a good way) but was still chewy. We had an amazing dinner here on Friday night for my birthday girls meal out! The restaurant is located in a beautiful old historic house with beautiful trim and architectural details. It is cozy and intimate. The service was fantastic and our waiter was friendly and spaced our meal and drinks perfectly. We had the house made limoncello and cocktails. Great place, amazing food, fun/ friendly staff. Small parking lot out back which is good for a place right on Congress St. Small place so i strongly would recommend reservations.
Had wanted to go here for years and finally did. It was a disappointing meal but the old house setting was nice. Red sauce was weak, and when we asked for fried garlic to boost it, the waitress informed us there is NO GARLIC IN THE KITCHEN! She said the chef (from Rome) didn’t use garlic (!) bcse he told her Italian cooking doesn’t use it much! I was dumbfounded and a little perturbed.
