I posted a 5 star review for Rolwes shortly after signing a contract for a new home to be built in The Highlands subdivision in Washington, MO. However, since that time we have had constant frustration regarding our home build. Our contract stated a home completion date of July (possibly June) 2026. It is now August and we are no closer to having a new home than when we signed the contract in late January. 2 year update: It’s only gotten worse. Things falling apart in the home- the stair bannister wasn’t even attached to studs and just literally fell off… kitchen baseboards falling off. Mold behind the kitchen and bathroom baseboards because they used MDF baseboards.. They regraded our yard about 10 times because we had significant water issues and they’ve attempted to “add a drainage system” but I’ve had 5 landscapers come out and tell me everything they have done is completely wrong.. trim off my island just fell off as well... read more
The worst experience ever, caught them over charging me several times then built the wrong color house! Stay clear of these incompetent people!!
Horrible experience, constantly lied to. During the pre-construction meeting. I was promised double headers over 7 of my windows. Why wouldn’t they be double headers, you might ask? Well, Rolwes uses single headers, which are still code but not very common. I checked another subdivision about a mile away, similar size house, and they were using conventional headers. The odd thing is that even on the double headers that Rolwes does use, they leave out the ½” spacer, which is usually scrap pieces on the job site. What does tha... read more
I've been working with Brian Johnston and Rolwes on building a Your Land Our Plan home. It was been a very good experience thus far with the design and planning. Highly recommended. We are now getting close to breaking ground.
