Such a bad team, they took all our security deposit and even though we have been to the office multiple times, signed a petition and showed them all the videos of us cleaning the apartment, sent multiple mails but they don’t do anything. They don’t pick their call and not does Mark or Charles reply because they want out money for their golf membership and luxury cars. 🙄
Right off the bat, I don't live with Roland, I rent from another company, but I felt I had to share my experience.. I moved into my apartment last Saturday at UIUC (not with Roland) and as I was struggling getting boxes out of my Car, a guy approached me and asked if I need a hand, which I clearly did. This Man spent an hour helping me take boxes from my car up to my apartment. Come to find out he works for Roland and it's his day off, he just happened to be in doing some work. Charged me an excess of $675 in move out fees after sending an email saying it would be $450 and did not respond to a single email about this, forcing me to pay the full amount. Also had a faulty smoke alarm that started short circuiting and did not look at the condensation issue the firefighters told them to fix. Overall, don't expect your security deposit back and make sure you have extra money to pay them for "trash removal" (for $500).
Moved in 2 years ago to a sinking floor, water damage around the overhead lights, black mold in the bathroom, and a completely broken stove. Moved out and was charged 600 past my security deposit for absolutely ridiculous reasons (charged for new mattresses when both me and my roommate used mattress covers anyways as well as a 500 dollar garbage fee for 1 small bookshelf.) not to mention staff stole my $1200 computer from the apartment while I was gone for a few hours before finishing up moving out and returning my keys, luc... read more
Attempted to charge me over $1600 in "move out damages" to an apartment I left in better condition than it was when I moved in. They provided no photos of proof for any of the alleged "damages" they were charging me for. Luckily, I took photos when moving out to dispute their claims (and they folded and offered a full refund shortly thereafter), but I feel bad for anyone else who is getting scammed from them.
