I have had a very frustrating experience with Roland’s rent and utility billing system. I'm not "mad", I genuinely think they have a system that needs serious improvement. My main concern is not just that billing mistakes happen. It is that false or incorrect charges have repeatedly been placed on my account, including utility charges that do not match what is written in my lease. Slumlords. Just live at West Quad. Not worth the $ when you get zero amenities, zero help with any maintenance issues, and zero response when calling and emailing.

EDITED WITH UPDATES: We filed a complaint with the IL Attorney General and Better Business Bureau in Champaign and encourage anyone else dealing with the same issue to do this. We actually had a decent experience renting from Roland for 2 years up until the move out. After leaving the apartment in good shape we got over $1200 in move out charges. We disputed the invalid ones and were notified via email that the majority of them were removed and the refund check would be mailed out next day. Still waiting and have followed up... read more
