Bad reviews are puzzling as I'm sitting with a party of 6 and we all had something different and not a complaint in the group. Was really very good and reasonably priced. Would ABSOLUTELY come here again.
My family ate here recently not because we are frequents to the St Claire shores, but because we just wanted a view of the water. From our visit, I can say that it's a pretty good choice if you're here. The interior is pretty cool, with the main hallway being styled after a ship. It had portholes, planks and other themed decor. Staff seemed disappointed to have more customers. Few staff were having a loud conversation in the middle of the dining room constantly swearing including "Darius" whom I assumed was the manager. The bus boy was wiping a few tables and yelling across the room to the hostess and a waitress and swinging his dirty table rag around like a lasso even chasing the hostess trying to snap her with the rag. A little expensive but very good lunch
I've given Rojo in St. Clair Shores the good old college try. I first dined at this restaurant for my bachelorette party with my close friends. I ordered the chimichanga dinner...it was okay, nothing to boast for. I had a party of about 15 and the service was mediocre and we all had to wait a ridiculous time for food and our bill. Our waiter seemed to disappear for long periods of time. We were seated upstairs.
