The PHP at silverlake for trauma is designed to groom a fawn response from patients and those who respond differently are ostracized and ultimately forced out of the program. It felt like i was part of a science experiment and was never offered a real place to heal or stabilize. This program made everything much worse and skewed any sense of safety or faith in mental health professionals i had left. Never again, i will quite literally choose to die over go back to this (or any other) place.
I was in there PHP personal care model summer 2025. It was helpful. I had Liv as my therapist. She was really good! I did need to advocate for myself. It was a lesson I learned. I appreciate all the therapists there. And shout out to Alex! He was an awesome homeroom therapist!
I had a great growth here at the Silver Lake location they then moved me to IOP at West Allis location they are the complete opposite all that work only to set me back a few steps I really wish I could have finished iop at Silver Lake but hopefully thing a go smoothly now that I have less than a week and virtually
