The staff is absolutely amazing, Especially both of the Lauren’s. They’re very nice, and accepting and they just made me genuinely feel like I was in the right place. I wouldn’t be in the place I am right now mentally and physically if it wasn’t for them. Lauren M is great at teaching everything in terms of MHAR, and you can tell she knows what she teaches and actually cares about it. I hope the higher up staff see this review, because they both deserve to get a raise.
The people here do not care about you at all. I was referred here by a therapist from the West Allis Rodgers-I had an even worse experience there-because of crippling anxiety and OCD. From the first day, I was gaslighted and misunderstood. The PHP at silverlake for trauma is designed to groom a fawn response from patients and those who respond differently are ostracized and ultimately forced out of the program. It felt like i was part of a science experiment and was never offered a real place to heal or stabilize. This program made everything much worse and skewed any sense of safety or faith in mental health professionals i had left. Never again, i will quite literally choose to die over go back to this (or any other) place.
I was in there PHP personal care model summer 2025. It was helpful. I had Liv as my therapist. She was really good! I did need to advocate for myself. It was a lesson I learned. I appreciate all the therapists there. And shout out to Alex! He was an awesome homeroom therapist!
