No different than any other mental health facility in a broken system.
I was very disappointed in the experience I received while attending Roger's Behavioral Health. I was going into the Depression Recovery Program with high hopes that I would see some improvement in my current situation and mental status, however this was not the case. The hour and a half dedicated to group therapy was spent seated as a desk with a text book in front of me, being read outloud to by an unethustic therapist who seemed just as unexcited to be there as I was. Was displeased with my experience. Staff were rude and judgemental.
I'd hardly consider the treatment they provide as therapy. The Depression Recovery Program involved sitting at a desk and reading from a textbook that reviewed breathing techniques and "problem solving skills" that are commonly taught in elementary schools. The class- because I don't consider this to be group counciling- is led by a monotone therapist who admitted they themselves don't even beileve that lecturing us from a textbook will help us solve our problems. My partner was recently recommended PHP, which I was unfamiliar with so I agreed and encouraged him to try it at first. If I knew how disorganized, passive aggressive, rude, unusual, and mind numbing the experience would be? I would have never been so supportive about it. During the first day, he was randomly switched into two different groups and was pulled out of the room numerous times to separately speak one on one or take his vitals.
