Inpatient Adult Eating Disorder Unit. Be prepared to be demoralized and treated like you are inept. There are a handful of gems within the staff, but the continuity of care is very lacking. Once you are there, they try to run your insurance to zilch and then discharge you with just a few numbers, suggested support groups, but not really any follow up that will help sustain overall well being. I took my mother to this facility after her breakdown when father died. I was shocked at how rude the female psychiatrist was. She talked very fast. If I asked a question she cut me off, saying, "Don't interrupt me!" She wanted to make dramatic medication changes for my mother without even consulting my mother's outside providers.
