My father had bought a 1979 Polaris TX-L 340 and the motor was blown up. As we search around for engine builders we said let’s try Rods Performance Shop and wow what a great engine he build my MERC trail twister 440 doesn’t have anything for that liquid. Loved how his response was reaching out communication with my dad and sharing pictures were awesome.
Top notch service, we were down hunting and packed our jet drive outboard with gravel, Rod was able to help us out right away and get us back hunting, can't thank him enough! Very knowledgeable mechanic
Traveled to Wisconsin with my boat from south Louisiana to do some deer hunting and had some water pump issues on the second outing. Called Rods performance shop on a Friday afternoon at closing time and he kept the shop open for me to bring the boat and get it repaired ASAP. I have an older boat, so I've taken it to Rod multiple times for a few years now. He knows motors and how to diagnose and fix whatever is not working. Not a guy you have to wonder whether you can trust him or not. Trustworthiness is his strong suit. Quick turn around times is another big plus, especially for a fisherman who feels naked without his boat in the garage at the ready to hit the water. Easygoing, hard worker with reasonable prices.
