Axel at the front desk was great he upgraded my room to bottom suite with kitchenette! A/C is cold and if driving its close to casino and plenty of shops. Next to Freeway!
I have to give some praise where it is due. The Rodeway Inn & Suites Thousand Palms is awesome! Great location right off of Bob Hope Drive. Clean, modern property with professional, helpful staff. Rodeway Inn is part of the Choice Hotels brand, and part of their economy class offerings. I made the reservation using the Choice app, but called to confirm they could accommodate a ground floor room due to mobility difficulties. So, strangely, checking in my Amex card which I've had since 1993 was declined over and over. I called Amex, they said there's nothing wrong. Finally after 20 minutes of embarrassment the attendant learned from a manager that THEY are having an issue with Amex. I paid w cash. I tried using the coffee machine in the lobby, broken I was told, no sign. Once in the room, seemed recently renovated, it was nice. Everything real clean! Nice service The pool was clean The only problem was w the reservation Order online w card and it didn’t show up ! We paid so we had to pay again… and cancelled online…. But it was peaceful at night….
Horrible service! Just left this hotel and the man at the reception desk was horrible and disgusting I ran out of gas and called for a late check out the man agreed when I got back I rushed to get my things out I was done at 11:37 and he refused to give me my deposit back! I needed that money and I expressed this to him and he did not sympathize! My understanding is that a deposit is for damage or if we smoked which did not happen.
