I would like to personally congratulate the Rodeway Inn in Lake City, Florida, on creating an experience so unforgettable that I am now questioning every life decision that led me to that front door. There were THREE PEOPLE staying in our room. The hotel provided us with TWO TOWELS. Two. Apparently the third person was supposed to simply stand outside and let the Florida humidity dry them off. The rooms were dirty. The walls and doors needed to be cleaned. The headboards above the beds needed to be wiped down. Very basic room not even a lamp, or a phone to call the front desk. The website said there was a coffee pot in the room but there was not. You get what you pay for

Great small hotel in a good location. Everything felt very clean and comfortable, even compared to bigger chain hotels I’ve stayed at before. We arrived very late and the gentleman at the front desk was extremely kind and helpful. The staff was friendly and respectful, and there was no pesky housekeeping knocking early or making us feel rushed. Cozy atmosphere, very well kept, and a really pleasant experience overall. I would definitely stay here again.

Very nice economy hotel. Great location! Right off the freeway with a lot of good restaurants within walking distance. Deducted one star for lack of breakfast.
