It wasn't the worst. They are trying very hard to bring this hotel back. While we were there someone had rented one of the ballrooms for a birthday party. That was cute. Great place for folks who can't do stairs. Either floor you get it stair free because of the sloped lot. Reasonably priced. Give them 2 more years and this will become a go-to spot.
Had a great time with my grandchildren in Van Buren will rent again people were nice and caring.
Seen better days. Still worth a stay
Most of the hotel has been condemned/shut down. Pool is in permanent disrepair . Spent entire first day washing all the linens and bedding including the mattress protector because they were disgusting. Also had to clean mold and water out of the fridge. Scrubbed bathroom. Door lock was broken. Wiped down desk and headboards with Clorox wipes. Bought a tote to store clothes from bugs. Favorite moments... feeding feral cats in the parking lot. THE PICTURES ARE VERY DECEIVING! The hotel is abandoned for the most part except for one wing. The hallway has a horrible smell. The room was fairly nice for the price except for the unwanted company that came to visit. Hotel staff was very nice though.
