I had a good experience renting from RocRooms as an international student. The management responded quickly to issues and requests, and the process was generally very straightforward. The property included a fairly comprehensive range of basic furniture and kitchen items which considerably simplified my first months in the US. There was a relatively high turnover of other tenants over the course of a year, but they were always respectful and affiliated with either UR or RIT.
I am incredibly disappointed with my experience with Roc Rooms. I am a grad student on a tight deadline, and I was looking for a 12 month lease. Marisa from Roc Rooms reached out to me very quickly after my initial inquiry and provided a link to their full application. RocRooms management was very responsive to all our needs while staying at one of their properties. I appreciated the monthly cleanings of common areas and they were very supportive for someone who had no prior experience of renting.
This was my first time renting, and RocRooms made the whole process so easy and stress-free. I didn’t really know what to expect going in, but they’ve set the bar really high.
