New ownership brings better service and selection. The people that work here are super helpful and have gone out of their way to make sure that I'm taken care of - ordering specialty items or just helping me find something random. I always shop here first and don't mind paying just a bit more for that hometown-friendly service.
Man at register is rude. They are to expensive for horrible service.

Rocky Ridge Hardware is the best hardware store I have shopped! I have live in New York, Washington DC, Virginia, Maryland, California and now Alabama for the past 10 years. The staff is honest an extremely helpful. I estimate they have saved me thousands of dollars just from simple advice regarding home repairs. They give personal service and their prices are competitive. they stand behind their sales. Go nowhere else but Rocky Ridge Hardware, they rock!
Thought I had found an alternative to the box store. Elderly man that runs the place was then very rude to my wife . Told her he would order an item. Ten days later found out the order had never been placed. Same elderly man was then very rude again. I won't ever shop there again and I will do my best to spread the word. It's like they are TRYING to make us shop at Lowes. There is absolutely no reason to shop at this store. Low selection. Poor assistance and advice. High prices and rude employees. Shaking my head.
This little store has everything you need. The staff are very friendly and helpful.
