This is a review of only one aide, not of the facility. Aileen is new here and is working the night shift. I want to give her 5 stars but realize that this employee kudos link actually goes to the facility's Google page and they are not a 5 star facility. Anyway, Mom has been at Spring Hollow for almost three months. She has advanced Alzheimer's and is at high risk for falls. PART I Mom has been at Spring Hollow Memory Care in Orem for a little over two months. Here are my impressions of the place: 1) The administrator (Melissa Cook) is very disconnected from the residents and very unresponsive to family inquiries. I actually didn't meet her in person until just last week. A family member of another resident who has been here for 15 months tells me that he has never met her. PART II 7) Food. Mom eats differently from most of the other residents so I can only comment generally on the food. She is no longer able to use flatware and so requires finger foods. I have observed however that the food that is served matches the weekly posted menus only about half of the time. And there is rarely any fresh food. "Seasonal fruit" almost always means applesauce or canned fruit cocktail (though this has changed somewhat to include grapes since Mom cannot eat the other two).
