Terrible experience. Bob is a very pleasant and enjoyable guy, I brought in a new Boyd stock that needed some fitting as the fore end was contacting hard on the barrel. Nice guy so thought I'd throw some more business his way and asked him to mount a new scope too. When I picked it up it looked off, so I asked him "were you able to free up that barrel channel?" I went to Rocky Mountain Arms on Tuesday Sept. 15. Could not have been happier with the experience. I had bent the magazine thread on my Remington 870. Several other shops in the area told me to replace the tube (don't visit Bison Arms if you have any gunsmithing needs. They don't know what they are doing) and in 15 minutes Bob had it rethreaded and I am now running my gun again with no issues. Best part? It cost me $25! I did not even need to repaint! Just like the last reviewer, I also would never go back nor recommend Rocky Mt. Arms for any gunsmith work. I took my brand new SIG P226 X5 pistol to them to have a HiViz front sight put on. In the process of doing this, the smith broke the factory sight and scratched the hell out of the dovetail and the new sight. He also scratched the slide on either side of the dovetail. Instead of pressing the factory sight out and the new fiber optic sight in, he used a punch and hammer to do both. That's apparently how he scratched my ... read more
