Many thanks to Rocky Mountain Rescue group, (along with the Nederland Fire Department) for their tremendous efforts to get our friend up and out of a steep hiking trail after she broke her ankle in 3 places. They showed up quickly and knew what they were doing. We appreciate you!!! 🫶

I was hiking today with my 2 dogs, Laila and Louie. We were hiking the shawdow canyon trail and made it to the top of south boulder peak. On the way down my dog Laila ripped and cut her paw pads and would not walk any further. I carried her for awhile but she is an 80lb dog. I called Rocky Mountain Rescue for help. First the ranger Nick came pretty fast. He brought us water and waited until the rescue team came. The rescue team was amazing. One lady was really good at adminstering aid to Laila. So grateful for you guys. I slipped hiking with my husband and kids (1&3) and I broke my ankle. They came and got me back to the parking lot. Thank you guys so much.
