Wonderful place early 1800s workmanship on breakwater. Long walk out and back even when it was less than a mile.
The Rockland Breakwater Light is a very neat place to visit! I went there with my sister, and we had a lovely time. September is a great time to go, as less people than in July and August. It would be nice if the lighthouse was given some exterior restoration work to spruce it up a bit. This is one of many lighthouses in Maine. They are such an important part of our state’s maritime history.
A nice walk out to the lighthouse. About a 2.5 mile round-trip from the parking lot. We did it in the rain and it was beautiful.
Unique lighthouse that provides a fun breakwater wall hike. The views and adventure made this a great stop!
