I am appalled by the lack of care I received. I arrived at 7:30 PM last night (13/04) after being referred by an after-hours emergency clinic following my gallbladder surgery on 8 April. I was in excruciating chest and shoulder pain, wheezing and coughing a few times it got so violently I was gagging and even wet myself! Pharmacy staff are absolutely fabulous
I went to the Rockhampton hospital for an emergency with my medication and was treated worse than garbage. They then posted online saying that what I was going through is not an emergency and to stay away. I have to ask what exactly is considered an emergency here? Do I have to be on my death bed to be treated with respect? Honestly this makes me never want to go to a hospital again and makes me feel isolated in this community.
Broken collar bone, live over 100ks away, was told to be there Saturday and Sunday for surgery, turned away with days, with no further help on another surgery date or a referral to a private clinic, also gave a blank prescription with no details of patient, doctor or medication. Absolutely disgraceful
