In Agoura Hills, CA, Regency wants to cut down heritage, protected oak trees one of which is 100 years old, to enable Starbucks to install a drive through. The trees are gorgeous. Patrons can easily park their cars and walk to the store to get their precious coffee. KEEP THE OAK TREES!!

Horrible environmental practices, deceitful tactics, and extremely poor public relations - all evidenced by what they did to a protected Osprey nest in Westport, CT.
On 3-30-2019, in violation of Federal Law, specifically the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Regency Centers’ agent removed and destroyed an active Osprey nest in Westport, Connecticut. Even worse, this was done for a construction project that has yet to be approved by the town of Westport. Reprehensible company.

Regency Centers is NOT a good community member in Westport. It has failed to landscape according to P&Z standards and it ignores federal laws in its treatment of wildlife and migratory birds. Shape up Regency or your business in Westport will be shut down.
I find it disgusting you removed the Osprey Nest at The Fresh Market Center in Westport. You claim it was due to upcoming work even though none has been approved by P&Z. Westport is still waiting for you to plant those trees and install the sidewalks as promised when you purchased the center.
Shameful conduct by your employees and contractors in Westport, CT. Simply shameful. Inability to foresee this public outcry demonstrates a) lack of decency and b) that your people so out of touch with the communities of which they are a part.
Perhaps they could improve with more sensitive management that actually cares about the communities and natural environments surrounding their properties. What a disgraceful situation in Westport, CT. regarding the unlawful removal of an active Osprey nest.
