The family peace center is a great place to go if you're dealing with a DV situation. The intake specialist Mary is the best! Surprisingly super empathetic and amazing and very kind. I've worked with her before and I was grateful that she was there when I had to come in again this time around. I'm giving a four-star rating because of the advocate that I had this time. here I am two and a half years later and the family Peace center continues to be a major asset to my healing journey they not only helped me get out of my situation but continue follow up and help me through my journey I now realize that finding the courage to leave is not the hardest part but rebuilding and waiting for the dust to settle is the hardest part but that's where the family Peace center also comes in they are the beacon in the storm and I am forever grateful for them.
I thought this was such a great place right off the bat when I went and they made me feel like I was so important and that they were going to be there for me and help me with the domestic violence I had just experienced and everything that was gonna follow after it. That went downhill soon after, I was pretty much given up on and just ignored without any actual help. No words can express how grateful I am that The Rockford Family Peace Center is in existence. I have never seen a organization go ABOVE AND BEYOND the way this Center has to help women and children in domestic violence situations. They actually care and will continue to provide assistance until they know your back on your feet. For multiple reasons, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone who finds themselves in a domestic situation to reach out. You owe it to yourselves to see the resources they have to offer.
