We stayed a night in Rockford. Had a nice classic Italian dinner at Linos (4*). Stayed at the Baymont by the Cracker Barrel. There's a lovely creek there. Walked by it with my dog. The creek is full of litter. Wondering if there is a civic group that deals with litter. It's so sad to see all that trash headed toward the watershed. I'd have a better impression of Rockford if the area businesses cleaned up around them.
The did a great job helping me arrange hotel accommodation for 100 members our organization. Very professional and friendly staff members..
I called with the very strange request of asking for places to watch the Perseid meteor shower. I was half-expecting a non-answer, but they genuinely cared and gave me some good advice Much appreciated!
