update on review 12/10/24 I received a letter from NCIP authorizing a full refund of 606.82 on 10/22/24. Melissa (Office Mgr.) said due to the massive number of refunds generated from Rocket, it would take time to process. I have yet to see the refund.
I told agent ( Devin Sanchez ) I had a flood insurance policy but could not contact that company. He wrote a new policy. I paid in full. When I finally heard from my initial company, they were surprised that Rocket would write another policy as the only first one is recognized by FEMA,. I then called the agent back to get a refund and he told me that the carrier required a 25% penalty to cancel the policy that I had for less than two days and wouldn't take effect for thirty days. I highly recommend RocketFlood! Kyle Lizak was amazing. He helped me pick the best policy for my situation and has continued to support me with issues contacting my mortgage company. I appreciate his patience; this stuff is stressful, and I never felt pressured or rushed.
Received a quote from the company. I called to inquire who would be the underwriter and the details of the policy. I was informed that the details of the coverage could not be provided until after purchased. In 15 yrs of buying home and flood insurance I have never have an agent refused to provide the details of coverage.
