The night before, I'd had oysters at an overly performative but insanely beautiful bar on 12th Ave (iykyk) and they left a lot to be desired. So when I woke up still craving shellfish, RockCreek was the call. It was the right one. A dozen oysters to start: Kumamoto and Shigoku. Clean — no grit, no sand. The food is beautifully prepared and packed with flavor, and don't leave without getting an oyster shooter!
Wonderful service, fantastic food, great atmosphere! There isn't a bad option on the menu and the Baller Bloody Mary is a must! Update: Service still excellent- warm and personable. Food still incredible!! I had the avocado toast and it was absolutely the best I've ever had. Delicious oysters, great coffee! Anniversary brunch was five stars!! The avocado toast in the photo is only half of the original portion-- I forgot to take a photo until is already scarfed down half of it haha.
Je suis allé dans ce restaurant par simple avis Internet, au final ça ne vaut pas du tout la hype, la quantité dans les plats n’est pas fabuleuse, les prix sont très élevés, il y a beaucoup plus correct, pour moins cher.
It’s not that the food here is bad, it’s just that it’s not worth it. The handful of dish’s that are delicious are incredibly small portioned and pricey, and many other dishes are average at best, fishy at worst. We used to be regulars here but after the 23% mandatory tip (that doesn’t even entirely go to staff) was implemented, we recognize this isn’t an establishment we want to continue to support.
