I went to Dr. Lyons after a Dupuytren’s contracture surgery on my pinky finger. I was constantly told I was doing everything wrong for my home exercise program. My finger was manipulated forcefully which hurt a lot. Due to the forceful manipulation I started great bruising as a result. I ended up seeking other post-op care for my recovery due to my poor experience.
I am upset with the insurance side of this business. They're all alike, with no transparency, including my insurance. I'm so fed up with finding out my bill is over 4x's what i expected AFTER the visit!. I thought my copay was $15 per visit and it's $64 which I found out on my EOB. I had RVPT call my insurance like 4 x's after they called my insurance several times. I wasn't told how much I was paying before I went in. I would not have gone if I knew it was gonna be that high.
