Update on earlier review. I persevered, obtained a judgement against Shayne and have filed a lien. I will pursue collection. Shayne is dishonorable, deceptive and a multiple offender.
We paid Shayne $6,200.00 in deposits for a stone patio and deck. He required the large deposit, he said, to purchase materials. On days when he doesn't ghost us and answers our calls, he claims he will show up tomorrow - but never does. We have received no materials and he has done no work. Now reading reviews about others he has scammed, I'm sorry I took him at his word and didn't read these reviews sooner. I hope others are less gullible and take this review to heart. Don't get ripped off by this scammer!
They took a $5000 deposit, delivered <$750 in material, installed two 3' x 4' landings poorly and not to agreed specs, then never returned. I filed a claim with the Vermont Superior Court. However, being out-of-state made delivering the summons cumbersome and complicated. Shayne ignored all notices presented.
Scam artist and complete a-hole. Will walk off job after taking your money. I love how Shayne left himself two positive reviews on here.
Reached out to Shayne on Sunday, and the job was done Tuesday! We had some bushes & trees at a new-to-us house that were out of control, growing into the house and blocking our views. Shayne kept us in the loop the entire time (this was even over the July 4th holiday), sent before/after pictures, and even took the time to clean up under the porch. Super easy to work with & hope we can work with Rock Solid in the future.
