A nice quiet spot to visit with easy access and parking. We did the main gorge track on another day and it was very busy with walkers. We found the Rock Pool and visitor center track to have very few people. While the rock pool and the area just past it further down the track was very nice and scenic, the visitor center track was featureless. The Rock Pool and surrounding area are 5 star.
Disappointed . Rockpool overgrown with bulrushes.
Well worth a visit. I saw a turtle on a log so decided to have a snorkel. I saw many more turtles including a really big one underwater. A dream experience for me. Careful as there are lots of underwater snags. But easy to see as the water is pretty clear.
Peaceful. Did not see the elusive platypus this time
