Outstanding! A truly incredible stay here and somewhere that will forever be special to us now. Picture perfect views of the beautiful Australian landscape on your doorstep or from your cabin as you wake up in the morning. The owners were friendly and helpful and left us alone to enjoy the property as we pleased. Beautiful highland cows roaming the property and hanging out. Cannot wait to come back here in the future!
We stayed at the Alkira Cottage for two nights and we highly recommend this place! We are completely satisfied with the service and the cottage. Beautifully presented, amazing decor, location and very clean. We visited the Scottish Highland cattle and enjoyed the calming nature views. Will definitely come back!
Just spent 2 nights in the beautiful Alkira Cottage on this glorious property. Not another person in sight, misty mornings viewing the river, evening visits close to the cabin from the highland cattle .. super warm comfy beds, fireplace warming the whole cabin, robes with towel warmers, gorgeous pottery cups & plates. Just very special. The pub .. 3mins up the road had the most mouth watering porterhouse steaks with veges that are not your usual ‘pub fare’. We repeated the meal the next night too. Just stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and 2 children. What a beautiful place. So magical with gorgeous grounds, private high end cabins and seeing the rabbits and kangaroos at dusk, plus a little fox early one morning made it so special. Beds are superbly comfortable and cosy, with little touches throughout the cabin showcasing various local products and artisans.
