Just spent 2 nights in the beautiful Alkira Cottage on this glorious property. Not another person in sight, misty mornings viewing the river, evening visits close to the cabin from the highland cattle .. super warm comfy beds, fireplace warming the whole cabin, robes with towel warmers, gorgeous pottery cups & plates. Just very special. The pub .. 3mins up the road had the most mouth watering porterhouse steaks with veges that are not your usual ‘pub fare’. We repeated the meal the next night too. Just stayed here for 4 nights with my husband and 2 children. What a beautiful place. So magical with gorgeous grounds, private high end cabins and seeing the rabbits and kangaroos at dusk, plus a little fox early one morning made it so special. Beds are superbly comfortable and cosy, with little touches throughout the cabin showcasing various local products and artisans. Wonderful boutique cottages on a beautifully maintained farm. Everywhere you look is a breathtaking vista. Cottages have such a lovely, comfortable high end finish … perfect for a wind down weekend plus seeing Highland Cows is the ultimate extra. Highly recommend 💚
