Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare: From the time I was a little girl, I knew I'd be a nurse. As I finished college with my nursing degree, I began to explore furthering my education. I became a nurse practitioner because I love the compassionate part of nursing along with the opportunity to diagnose and treat my patients for their acute and chronic conditions.
