She was very rough, causing me to bleed from a regular pelvic exam. She was not kind or gentle at all. I do not recommend her at all. Terrible experience
Dr. Karpfen likely saved my life. I have been a patient of hers for several years now and each year during my annual OBGYN exam, she would remind me of the importance of getting a colonoscopy. She is so wonderful, warm, caring and personable. When, during my visit with her last summer, she realized I still hadn't scheduled my colonoscopy, she had her assistant work with me to get it scheduled. I had it done and guess what? I love Dr. K. She has always listened to me and been very respectful. I was worried about my fertility and being an "older mother" and she told me not to listen to silly people and that I doing well. She helped me feel comfortable. I recommend her to my friends looking for an understanding and knowledgeable ob/gyn.
All I can say is do not use Dr Karpfen from Crystal Run. She literally forgot to complete my surgery while inside me and the other thing was so horrible that I won't write it out here in case some people have sensitive hearts for babies. She is a monster and hasn't lost her license yet somehow, be careful!
