June 25, 2025 Good morning! I wanted to share my recent experience of having my ears wax removed at The Hearing Life Clinic in Carleton Place. The Pro’s: It was easy to book an appointment and the person who did the actual cleaning seemed competent. Overall, I was happy with the process. The Con’s: When I tried to claim the treatment with Sunlife Insurance, my claim was rejected. Two trip and no improvement on a simple hearing aid fix.
Seniors like I are lost without their hearing aids and are lost if the Co. they deal with is not there for them when there is a problem. In Dec and away on holidays mine stopped working and a local co. examined them and had to return them to the manufacturer, Phonac. Two weeks later they were returned fixed but were not so i asked the local co. to have Phonac give me a new pair as mine were only six months old. Really happy with the exam that I was given. Very clean facility, friendly staff, and very straightforward process. Everything was explained as the exam progressed. I would recommend this place.
