The cabin was in a great remote location, the stars in the night sky were magnificent, and the mountains in the distance brought a pleasant surprise to the scenery. However, the cabin itself has some issues. There is quite a bad mouse infestation throughout the cabin, mouse poop covers much of the floor and it is necessary to hang all of your supplies on the nails in the ceiling to prevent these mice from invading your belongings. Don't come here, facilities are crappy and there is nothing to do in the area. Lots of traffic and tourists from Boreas pass that will bother you the whole time you are there. Hate to be a party pooper but it blows
Had a great time relaxing and playing some games, keeping cozy by the fire, and eating good food. Definitely expect mice, my best advice is to treat them like bears, and make sure all food is secure and out of reach. Cleanliness is truly the best defense against them. Hang as much as you can from the numerous nails in the rafters.
Had a great time! Cabin was fantastic. Only complaint is fire alarms and extinguishers were outdated.
Watch your head when you enter the cabin or go upstairs if you're tall!! Wonderful site. Saw a Bull Moose, and a Coyote. Easy access to Boreas Pass for hiking
