He's probably a very good doctor, he came highly recommended by my cardiologist, but his scheduling staff leaves everything to be desired. His website says he's accepting new patients, I scheduled a video appointment with him four days in advance, got confirmation the day before, and 10 minutes before the appointment was to begin, his office called to say he is no longer taking new patients. Pretty shady. Unbelievably inconsiderate and unprofessional.
I chose Dr. Yamane based on strong recommendations from my family, and I’m truly glad I did. From my very first visit, I was impressed by his professionalism, depth of knowledge, and genuine compassion for patients. Dealing with this doctor has been been so stressful. The first time I went to the office and met with him, I left completely confused. He did not answer any of my questions or tell me what the next step would be. I visited UCLA on another visit and completed labs as he had requested. He only responded to one abnormal labs and posted the same message for all my tests that had nothing to do with anemia (other than one) I know that they are supposed to respond within three days and this was his shortcut to responding to all abn... read more
I haven’t been to the doctor in years due to not having consistent health insurance but due to health scare I had to make an appointment and was lucky enough to stumble upon this doctor. One of the best doctors I’ve ever had. Caring, thoughtful, kind, non-judgmental, encouraging and patient. I’m feeling very lucky.
