When Dr. Herbert, who founded the NYU Langone MS Care Center, passed away, I thought I would never find a physician as empathetic, knowledgeable, and patient-centered. Dr. Charlson, also a psychiatrist, hits all those marks and more. He is truly a health care partner who listens when you speak and works with you to develop a plan so your life can center on you, not your disease.

Outstanding level of care. Out of all the doctors I've seen. Dr. Charlson ranks in the top 5% easily. He takes the time to listen to you and is never rushed nor makes you feel rushed. He empowers and educates you as the MS patient to learn about the different types of MS medications and the pros and cons of each medication. It would be hard to find a more knowledgeable, caring, and empathetic doctor than him. He consistently follows up as needed. Highly recommended see for yourself.

Dr. Charlson is thorough, kind and a doctor who follows up and through with his patients. He was recommended to me by friends who also have Multiple Sclerosis and what they told me about his work ethic and who he is as a neurologist was absolutely true.
