I would give a 0 or - if permitted and be able to leave a review. He made a critical mistake in my Mom's surgery. It led to a trach tube and peg tube. She was in and out of hospitals and nursing homes. She developed cancer in her esophagus and now is deceased. The cancer might have been caught earlier but he would not let them scope because of being on plavix. Not sure if his mind was on the surgery because his picture was on the front page of newspaper. This guy treated my sister horribly. Rude, arrogant and completely unprofessional. Cursing at a client for not coming back soon enough, after his office didn’t return calls to set up an appointment. And that’s just the beginning. Stay far away!
My 89-year-old father had his yearly check-up with the doctor. I drove him to his appointment as he was being treated for lung cancer, a newly diagnosed liver cancer and macular degeneration. He was very nervous before the appointment because we had to be at the Yolanda Barco center for a follow up and treatment plan meeting. He was concerned that he would be late. The doctor is not that caring. He never even touched me before giving me a diagnosis prior to my telling him the reason for which I asked his help in the process of making an appointment to see him. He spoke to me as if I were eight years old! I finally had to let him know that my intellectual prowess was not that of a person with whom he would ordinarily converse. DO NOT LET HIM DO SURGERY! He does not like explaining things and hates when you asks questions. He kept saying I was arguing with him every time I tried. I thought I understood what he was doing when he put stents in my back but now I realize they aren’t even in my back! And I do NOT even have the syndrome he diagnosed me with. He used threatening tactics like I would lose my leg if I didn’t follow his instructions and he was arrogant. I am having many problems from what he did to me.
